New for 2014 – Access to an evergreen database on expatriate policies accessible all year. This new format, an evergreen database, means at any point in the year you can update your policy information in the survey and access an online result of comparable data as it stands at that point in time. No limits apply to updating your submission and viewing the database results. If desired, an organisation can participate in the policies and practices survey without providing pay data. At the point of survey publication in October, you will receive the pdf report outlining the trends in policies and practices, as per previous years.
In 2014, NGO Global Pay is now entering its 4th year! The survey is tailored to the needs of the international development community, and covers international and headquarter roles. NGO Global Pay is a companion survey to NGO Local Pay, and is sponsored by Birches Group LLC and People In Aid.
Focused on internationally-recruited professional positions, the survey includes country and regional-level roles covering the full range of programme and operational positions found in the NGO Community. Positions include Country Director, Chief of Party, senior program staff, and key administrative and support roles in finance, human resources, procurement and logistics. In addition, selected headquarters-based leadership positions, including those roles with responsibility for international operations, are included in the survey. Participants include over 50 organizations with headquarters in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
Together with the NGO Local Pay surveys, organizations now have a single source for market data for both locally- and internationally-recruited staff. Using the Birches Group job levels in both surveys makes it simple to make comparisons and look at pay levels using a comprehensive and consistent framework from driver right up to CEO!
Participants will have advisory input into the NGO Global Pay survey through People In Aid’s Reward Network and through a smaller, technical Advisory Group of regular participants.
What is included in the Survey?
Each participant will receive the survey results in an interactive Excel worksheet, including detailed information about the market practices across all countries where positions are reported in the survey. Data will include:
